I have stock in a grocery chain, it's private stock and it has always had increases since 1985. They are having a record year and still opening up new stores. My question is will this economy effect the stock value in a negative way, even though they are still doing very well? Kind of like Costco. |

yes, everything will affect everything. However, you may find that it wont affect specific stocks AS bad. Some stocks are more recession proof, usually blue chip stocks like Johnson & Johnson, or proctor gamble. People will always buy such. The same may be said for grocery stores. Still it is affecting it somehow.
Maybe your stock is up %25 this year, but had the housing bubble not burst, maybe it would be up 50%, who knows |
