Did you know that you may be able to share the ebay/paypal coupons you get in the email/mail? Read this answer and see if some of the suggestions work for you.

Aug coupons
CAUG2008CSA10P: 10% off until 08/31/08.
CPPAUG0815P: 10% off for $100 and up (expiration Aug 30th 200.
CRTSY08JLY25: $25 off (expiration is Dec 26th 2008.
CTHANKS0810D: $10 off for $50 and up.
CRTSY08JLY500: $500 off. works for rare accounts only.

It may or may not work on your account as coupons may have limited usage. You have to try to find out. If you have more than one PayPal account, then you can try with all of them.

Update: if it did not work for your account, that means your PayPal e-mail is not linked with those coupons currently.

This is more of what i found on the topic. Called paypal and they said ebay sends random coupons via email or mail. Some get lucky. Some can share the luck using the method in the previous message. I hope this helps cause I spent hours on this issue.

Hi Everyone, I don't know what the reason is that these coupons won't work for everyone, other than them being account specific. Some of them, like the one I got from Brad's Deals, was for the general public, some of the other oes that I tried using buy searching on Google, and Yahoo answers were either account specific or expired. At the end of the code is the expiration date ie:CRTSY08JLY25, so this coupon would end in July, supposedly . I have just used this coupon CAUG2008CSA10P for 10% of a $100.00 or more, but believe me it didn't work at first, so I called Paypal, and as a courtesy they put it through for me. Then I tried it again today, and it didn't work, it said I couldn't use it again for the same account.. We need to find some kind of format where we can post Active Ebay/Paypal Coupons for everyone to us, and maybe even complain to Ebay about how they distribute their coupons etc. If anyone has anymore suggestions, or ideas please post, so we can all take advantage of these saving.

I just paid for a cell phone and used the $25 discount code. It worked. Yay!

Had an issue with the same JLY & AUG coupons... eBay accepts them until you buy the product and then I got the 'Not linked to your account' message. Talked with both eBay & PayPal 2 times each and got the runaround. eBay finally told me that if the coupons aren't in the 'My Messages' section of your account that you cannot use them. Anyway, I told them that its Fraud since their site accepted them initially as I was logged in and that the checking should have been done before I clicked on the 'Commit to Buy' button. They directed me to their marketing group... Sound like a bunch of BS to me.

If ebay/paypal doesnt distribute them publically, then they dont work. So if you see someone saying $500 off it doesnt work because of it. I did research on it.

So, it didn't work for me, the US$ 25...

Call paypal and ask for a coupon code. They gave me one (not great, but better than nothing) for %10 off one item worth $100 or less. It has to be linked with your ebay/paypal email for it to work, so you have to call and set it up. Worth the time on hold if you want a few bucks off.

Just called Paypal customer service and was told that non of the coupon codes mentioned here were valid for my Paypl account and the codes could not be activated to work with my account(?) She also said Paypal and ebay send codes to customers on a random basis. I use to get codes a few times a year and have even made sure all my ebay account settings are set to receive promotional email... its been well over a year since I've last received an active ebay/paypal promo code... I wonder what the trick is to getting coupons codes these days?

What ebay us doing is allowing a select few people to use these coupons so it creates a buzz and they post codes for others to use. Then we go and buy items thinking we can use the codes then we are rudely awakened by the fact that our account doesn't accept them. It is a cruel trick to increase sells. I paid slightly higher than normal for football tickets because I expected to be able to get 10% off. In my opinion it is a form of bate and switch.

I used the 25 dollars off one, it said it worked, and I was obviously very excited to be getting a New AA hoodie for 5 bucks, so i went and bought another. Go to check out and it says its not valid for my paypal account! This sucks. Now im out $60 some dollars that I really should have been saving.

all these are ******* garbage! none of them work and anyone who says they do is a liar!

I used the code for the $25 off and it worked for me.

eBay is taking a break this month. Since May I've received almost $800 in discounts on eBay from a combination of their coupons, eBay bucks, and Microsoft Live. Their stock is already paying the price.
