Yeah if you already got some or have them at low price, than now is the good time to sell. However, don't invest all into Gold.

I though that Gold would be a good investment several years ago.... I think that there are better things to put your money in..

Gold is a horrible long term investment. It has only averaged about 4% over the last 70 yrs. It is very volital. It goes way up and way down. At a short term investment. It's a real gamble.

Mutual funds average about 12% as a long term investment.

So many people are asking this question these days. My definitive answer is...buy gold at this time (at the top of the market) ONLY IF you wish to be ripped off.

Right now, there's a gold bubble just like the housing bubble. If you buy now (metal or stocks), you'll be stuck with a loosing investment when the bubble bursts.

maybe u want to read it.

It's about gold as investment

Gold was a great investment 3, 4, 5 years ago. You should have been asking this question when it was selling for $350 an ounce, not $1,000. My rule of thumb is when I see lots of commercials on TV talking about investing in gold, it's time to get out. I sold my gold stocks a little over a month ago. When the time is right to buy gold (I think not right now) invest in the companies that mine gold. They usually increase at a higher rate when the price of gold goes up, the transaction costs are much less and it is so much easier to buy, store and sell stock than the actual metal. Good luck!

Gold was over $1,000 an ounce about a month ago. Invest in the COMPANIES that mine the gold, because gold itself is a better store of value over the long run, not if you're looking to make some cash now.

Sorta...If you have spare money just "lying" around it's awsome, but If you have to do without things that you would normally spend the money on, then no.

Gold is a SUPER investment right now and will be for the near term. Gold will continue to rise for the next several months, although there will be some ups and downs. But, over the long term investment strategy, Gold has not been a good sustaining investment. Although the Real Estate market is in the doldrums at the present time, it has been a very stable long investment strategy. Short term Gold, long term Real Estate!

Yes. Gold is a commodity. You can trade it so you can invest in it. It's a good idea since it's a part of the measurements of wealth.

Gold will ALWAYS... I stress always... be a good investment. Period!

Yes agreed... It'll take it's fair share of lumps and bumps...
as everything does.

Think Long Term.

Acuaally, people are saying money is soon going to be worth nothing. But gold is never going to loose value. Yes it is a investment.
