Has anyone discovered a system for sale for trading stocks and/or futures that actually works?
I've seen many systems available to the average Joe Trader. I know that many or most don't work but I also know that many people make good money using some systems. Just wondering if there are any real traders out there who have had "live success" with a system.

No system works all the time or everyone would use it thus ensuring that the system will stop working.

However, holding a diversified portfolio and gradually shifting assets toward the best performers a few times per year, will produce better than average returns.

The chief tool for this type of investing is http://www.fasttrack.net

For futures:

www.rightangletrading.com

It's a futures trading system. I use it, with middling success. The system is great and pretty simple, but I'm too much of a gambler and impatient to follow it. Need to work on that...or go back to stocks.

The results aren't quite as great as the website says, but close enough.

P.S. Futures are EXTREMELY risky. You can easily lose 50% or more of your entire investment in a day. My worst day, so far, is 25%.

For Stocks:

www.chartpattern.com

Run by Dan Zanger, an amazing trader (read up on the newspaper articles reprinted on his website). Not so much a system as daily recommendations, but close enough. He also has a free chat room (free with subscription, of course) where a lot of good traders offer advice and trades.

I've been reading up on investing for more than a decade and I've yet to hear about a "system" that works. There are fellas who have advanced degrees working 14 hour days trying to beat the street. More than 95% of them fail in the long run. If they can't do it consistantly no one can. If anyone claims they are making a killing in stocks I ask for proof beyond the person saying it. So far no one has produced a tax return or anything tangible to back up their claims. I stick with the index funds. Simple, safe and profitable. I also buy some individual stocks because I like to gamble a bit. I do okay but just okay. I say when it comes to investing listen to what successful investors have to say then do what is right for you. As far as futures and the like I say if you want to play and aren't afraid of losing go ahead. You probably will lose though.

it's called insider trading and scamming others out of their money, like those Enron guys.
the stock market is neither safe nor stable, people who made out like bandits invested early with companies who use techniques such as mark to market as investment factors and then trade away their stock before it inevitably crashes.

something safe to invest in might be oil and energy companies , they are enjoying major profit margins
