The rumor seems to be rooted in fact. Sounds just like the"'current regime", doesn't it?! Now that the price of gas has dipped and we are licking our wounds ... BAM(!) - there goes the stock market and probably the banks. I think it will happen! |

Not sure where you got your "facts", but they're amazing.
Experts can tell the weather for next week let alone in October, and no one has ever been able to predict the future.
I've been investing for nearly 60 years and in the industry for over 45, and I have never met any one that could predict the market.
If some one says they can tell the future they are lying, and if any one believes them the are fools. |

I doubt it now. The small caps have been advancing since June. Up by 6%. Small caps will lead us out of this mess. I think that this could rally by the end of the year. |

No. And if it was scheduled, only day traders would still be buying. All others who believe in this event would have sold all stocks and stock funds and bought bonds or precious metals. They would have avoided the short term cash funds if the banks were probably going to go under too since cash deposits at the bank are insured up to $100K, but money market mutual funds are not. |

The market should start rallying sometime mid Sept or in Oct. We won't see the highs of last year, but might get to Dow 13,200. BUT if Oboma gets elected... Sell fast and look for other ventures other than the stock market to make money. |

Yeah -- the market goes down when oil is high, because people spend less on other stuff, and the market goes down when oil is down, because the oil companies make less money. When your economy is totally driven by iol (and run by oil barons), the general population is screwed either way! |

No one person is going to cripple the US - if it (stock mkt.) goes down it won't be scheduled. It will be because of POOR leadership with fiscal responsibilities. |

The price of gas has fallen because they have found an oil well out in montana. It will not destroy the market, only the people can do that (the common opinion becomes fact.) In fact, the company that found the oil made me very wealthy. Bling chicka yes. |
