I wouldn't worry about it. By admitting you know nothing you already are more knowledgeable than half of the brokers out there. |

Why would you apply for a job that requires knowledge you don't have? Its far too complex to explain here, but you can try the tutorials at investopedia.com. |

It's unlikely you will learn all that much about stocks in the next few days. I would try to learn some general information about the market, investing, brokerages, etc. Just enough to follow the interview conversation.
Apparently something about your application made them interested in hiring you. You should try to figure out what that is and emphasize it during the interview. Explain that you are new to stocks but are a fast learner and have other skills (ie, customer service, excellent organization, etc) to offer. Good luck. |

Try checking at Yahoo! Finance, get a little information about the current stock market. You might also research the company and their competitors, to get an idea about what their business is. Maybe call the department, posing as a customer if you want to get sneaky so you know what you'll be doing.
I would also use proper grammar in the interview and your resume. Then again, doing cold-calling like it seems from the job description, you're completely qualified. |

One good place to learn all about stocks and investing is investopedia.com (http://www.investopedia.com).
They call their website 'Your source for investing education'. It is good place for novices to biginners to intermediate level investors. |

What kind of job is this? Why are you calling people about stocks? What's the purpose of the call?
Stocks is quite a general term. It means ownership of a company. One share of stock means one share of the corporation. It is not easy to give you a basic rundown of stocks. It's not that simple. |
