but be careful about investing in something after it's gone up

look into RICI (although i think it's still closed), or RJN, which tracks just the energy portion of RICI.
i agree with Matthew Simmons that even at $300/bbl, oil would still be cheap... |

Open an account with a futures broker which will let you trade oil futures. If in the US, be sure the company is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA). |

Goverments are probably trying to control the prices so its quite risky, as to where you can go to invest, im afraid i have no idea. |

Oil prices really aren't "going through the roof", the price is artificially controlled. If your paycheck were the same today as it was in the 1970s, you'd be mad as hell!
There has been a recent "correction" in oil price, but you are too late to take advantage of that...sorry... |

Oil is a commodity. You have to do your research to find out which broker has commodities trading.
You also have to ask what the requirements are for investing in commodities. You MAY have to have a minimum balance in your trading account.
