Honestly how worried are you about the STOCK MARKET crisis?

Not at all. It was a long time coming & aits a good thing. People grew too complacent. The signs were there years ago. Too loose credit. Consumption too high. Lost manufacturing. Maybe a novel idea will take hold - buy only when you have the money for it.

It's not a "stock market crisis." The current problem is a worldwide credit crisis. Businesses and even governments run on credit, and nobody wants to lend money because they're not certain it will be repaid.

I am worried about the stock market crisis. This is similar to the great depression when everyone is selling out and no one wanting to buy in. It is worldwide though this time not just in that states.
The United States market it effecting every market in the world and countries are being forced to stop trading. We need to get to the very bottom of this as quickly as possible to we can start to re-build again.

Very, anyone i have spoken to about it says, "why should I care it makes no difference to my life"
It makes a difference to everybody's life, why cant they realise it.

Not that much, if anything happens, I can live for a long time without most of the things we claim as "necessities."

Very. I'm amazed at how many people don't realize how the stock market affects them.

*Jacob, do you realize that jobs and food ARE necessities?

80 percent of the worlds commodities and 73 percent of the common market are shared by 97 percent of the Banks, Insurance companies, and have invested into home mortgages as a safe place to market the their futures. These irresponsible ARM type loans have left a surplus of housing , but now that the government has stepped in to help the people who really need to be buying a house on FIX 30 to 40 years loans may not every take and/or have a chane to buy a home for another thirty years with the new more rigid type of qualifying that the Fed will imposes. But yes I am worried because the balloon popped and international trade has no real place to stock pile funds safely with out causing other areas of investment to falter... In other word stocks will be safety enough to hold the market safe enough for the international market investors to gain trust>>> there are currently no minerals, gems or utility investments that could act as a common trade platform and still be able to met the common goods/ and production levels.
Yes is a very scary world we are living in, and at this time nothing is a very safe investment.

Thanks

I am worried. I am worried because hard working honest people are suffering primarily those retired and close to retirement. Their nest eggs are heading towards zero. They believed their stockbrokers.

In my heart it is the people who caused the problem who will make out like bandits when this turns around. I bet there are people who pulled out of the market and are drooling looking for a bottom. Like the AIG executives who are partying like it is 1999 on the taxpayer's back. They should reimburse the bail out immediately.
