You could always put it in a mutual fund and let the professionals invest it for you. Or you can educate yourself about the stock market and do it yourself. Regardless of your decision, you should always try to educate yourself about the stock market. If you'd like to learn more about the stock market, check out my blog. My blog is dedicate to helping the beginner investor.

Better alternatives:
Starting a small business would be the way to go if you have time.
Alternatively try to invest in someones business. You may receive up to 20% guaranteed interest a year. You will not get such high returns on stocks, mutual funds, bonds or CD's.
If you invest $40,000 at 20% annual interest rate, you will get back $14,929.92 in 5 years. I run my own business and my net profit is over 5% a month.
Some of the European banks are offering 7% to 14% annual interest rate (3-5 years deposits).
Email me at investment4us {at} hotmail.com and I'll give you a valuable advice if you are serious about investing. Please don't forget to mention your nickname and question at Y.A.
Best of luck! |

Put it in a ROTH Ira. Add a $100 a month and in 40 years of so you will have $1,000,000. Thats right, 1 million. Talk to a banker. Be smart. Its really that simple.
Put in $100 a month for 30 years and you will have $300,000. Ir pays to start early. |

I don't like stocks. I have invested in small business. Now I am earning 2% income monthly (24% annually). I'm sure I'll double my money in 3-4 years. |

Iam actually having fun, just learned where to put money to help it grow. Not making millions but, making more than having it set in a savings account. I have a IRA which I try to do each year. This also helps you with your taxes for the year. The only thing is this ties your money up for longer periods of time. Look also into cd's, I recently was told by a financial advisor to start a account with ING DIRECT .COM money market. I will take 1000.00 and start that and keep adding to it. Its money I can get to if need be. Its a high yeild account. Talk with a financial advisor would be your best bet. Stocks are high risk. But..... ing direct (sm. letters) also has savings accounts with higher return than bank. Look it up. It might help you. Theres mmmany things to do. Be careful, not to anxious, its not something to do without thinking first. Dont trust in the wrong ppeople. Your bank can also help with the cd,and ira.T |

Just good old stocks are still fine with me, F will make a comeback sooner or later. I would roll on Ford if you can stand being tied up a while. |

My dad says get a CD (that's "certificate of deposit," not "compact digital audio disc").
The stock market is trending downward. If you buy into mutual funds, you might end up with less than you started at the end of a year. |
