Let the professionals do it for you. and you can learn at the same time. this way you achieve 2 things at one time. in my opinion anyway.

I wouldn't like you to lose your money straight away,
so I suggest you learn first.

Do courses and read books on trading..

this is a dangerous game for the uneducated!

My advice to any beginner investing in stocks is do NOT start by buying "individual stocks." It is very difficult to trade individual stocks without having a lot of knowledge of how the markets work.

If I was starting over I would invest in ETF's, index funds, or mutual funds as a beginner while I learned more about the markets. These investments will diversify your investments instantly which is best for a beginner.

To begin investing you need to open an account with a broker I personally use Scottrade. Also, a great site to learn about all kinds of funds is Vanguard.com.

How much do you want to invest?

1. Choose an online brokerage (eg inexpensive: sharebuilder, zecco, tradeking, scottrade, others: fedelity, td ameritrade, etrade)

2. Choose and buy stocks or funds, etc

3. Watch and trade

You also can invest directly from the websites of companies you like.

Good Luck!
