If you mow lawns and have the least amount of gumption you will make a lot more than that assuming you do not live is a drought area such as Alabama.

Ask your parents what they need done around the house that they're willing to pay you for doing the job. If you show your parents why you want to earn the money and ask for their help to earn it (not be handed it), you'll be surprised how helpful they will be. My kids don't get an allowance, they choose "extra" jobs in addition to their one chore and so I give them a set amount each time. They come to me with what they want and I've always offered to pay 1/2 if they come up with the other 1/2 on their own. You'll appreciate whatever it is you want to buy if you have to earn it yourself. Give it a shot and good luck.

Depends on what you want to do. Offer to mow some neighboors yards or baby sit some kids.
