Try things such as baby-sitting, or doing chores for your neighbors (such as yard work, or if they're really old even simple things like cleaning the house). If you're good in school, you can even tutor kids your age or younger (and if you're really good, you can even tutor older kids). Tutoring actually rakes in some pretty nice money.
You can try finding gigs or paid internships through Craigslist (www.craigslist.org). Be careful, though, since you don't know these people. You can also ask your school; they often provide kids with working papers, and they usually have a binder filled with various places looking for kids to intern or work. Or, you can ask your parents or their friends. Often, the place they work at would gladly hire someone to do simple tasks like data entry.
If you don't want to work, you can set up a garage sale. Search your house for things you know you don't need, and set up a nice table outside, with fair prices on each thing. To advertise, put up fliers around your neighborhood (you should probably do this in advance). Ask your friends and neighbors to donate things they have no use for; often, they will gladly donate without asking for a share of the profit. Explain to them that you're trying to save up, by yourself, for something you really want.
If you don't have enough for a garage sale, try a bake sale. You can find recipes online, and this often brings in a lot of profits. Be sure to provide drinks, as well; drinks can actually sell for more than baked goods, especially on a really hot day. As with the garage sale, put up fliers around your neighborhood. Decorate them nicely, as the way a flier looks can actually encourage people to come and try your baking!
Last but not least, you can set aside some money from each time you get your allowance. This is the slowest way, though, so I'd suggest doing something I mentioned above as well. |

Hi, Ashley,
You have the greatest opportunity in history to make money as a teenager. (I'm jealous :) ) So don't listen to the tired old, same old.
Not too long ago I saw a forum post by a 15 year old kid bragging how he was making an US full-time income (about $75,000). A kid from India, answered, "I'm only 13 and I make more than you."
So check out --
http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/
You'll be confused at first, but keep at it -- you can make money online.
Best way at first is to sell other people's stuff. That is, you can be what's called an affiliate marketer.
Amazon was one of the first to start an affiliate program, and they are still very big. You sell an Amazon book or anything else (they carry 1000s of products now), you get a percentage.
You send people to a company's site through your unique link. If they buy, you get a percentage.
There're a 1000 ways to do that. They do involve work -- I'm not telling you this is easy, or fast.
But you probably have a big advantage over some of us old fuddy duddies in that you know about MySpace and Facebook etc. Some people are getting rich just from those sites.
Since your under 18, your parents will have to cooperate.
There're also a ton of ways to make money from eBay, after you sell off your own old junk.
And if you just want a few dollars, start some free blogs with Blogger and Wordpress. After they're indexed by Google, sign up with http://www.payu2blog.com . $5 per blog entry. |

First of all: SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!
1) Save holiday and birthday money
2) Look around your room for change. Trust me, there is l o t s layign around, so take a look. In just 3 drawers of mine, I found 10 dollars worth of change! That is alot, and this was just last week. You can go to a bank to exhange that change for dollars. It really helps.
3) Beg for an allowance
4) Mow lawns! There are lots of old people who would appreciate this & give you money
5) Get a job! You are legally old enough. Try a gas station for starters, or somewhere else that isnt too special
6) Walk dogs
7)Do chores
8)House cleaning
9) Babysit!
10) There are internet surveys that you can isgn up for and do which can make you a heck of a lot of money, however, make sure your parents know about this or you could ge into a LOT of trouble [been there, done that!] |

You could get a job in your neighborhood (raking leaves, watering plants, walking dogs, ect.), work for a family member (clean house, feeding pets, ect.), or you could work at Maggie Moos. I think you just have to be 14 to work there. |

you can:
-babysit
-dog walk
-offer to do things around the house for money
-sell something valuable of yours (eg.mp3 player)
-convince your parents to have a garage sale
-sell weed. its easy to get ahold of, and then instead of just using it sell it at a higher price
- get a job (where i live you can get one if your 14, as long as you have a parents sign the application
- save up money you get as allowance
-take out a loan from an older sister/brother/uncle/aunt/cousin/ cool grandma
- set up an agreement with your parents. maybe if you come up with half of the money they will pay the other half
- if your birthday or soemthing is coming up, ask for the 360 as a gift, or use gift money to buy it,
hope i helped=)
p.s do youu have march break too? im go happy! skules OUT! yahh!=) |
