Work hard, plan your life and only hang around winners. Losers will only bring you down. Also, try to go into a profession that is right for your personality. I wish you the best of luck. |

Your success or failure lies within you, not someone else's opinion.
One of the most important Samurai texts ever written, by Miyamoto Musashi, “The Book of the Five Rings (1643)”, offers this advice: “Think of what is right and true. Learn to see everything accurately. Become aware of what is not obvious. Be careful even in small matters. Do not do anything useless.”
There can be no great success in trading (life) without great commitment, hard work, discipline, and the realization of the “right” type of thinking.
It is your attitudes, beliefs, and discipline that ultimately yield results. Courage and positive attitudes combined with sound market principles and methods will, in time, result in the desired outcome. Your persistence and determination to succeed is, in the final analysis, the critical element.
The best way to do anything yourself is to learn something about it first. You'd be surprised at the thousands of books available on any subject you wish at your local library. |

Let me share with you a passage that I read that changed my life and continues to contribute to my success in life. The passage is from "Poor Charlie's Almanack" by Charlie Munger:
Spend each day trying to be a little wiser than you were when you first woke up. Discharge your duties faithfully and well. Step by step you get ahead, but not necessarily in fast spurts. But you build discipline by preparing for fast spurts... Slug it out one inch at a time, day by day. At the end of the day -- if you live long enough -- most people get what they deserve."
I try to read each day and acquire wisdom and it makes a huge difference over time.
Mr. Munger also stated: "a lot of success in life and business comes from knowing what you want to avoid: early death, a bad marriage, etc."
Lastly, Mr. Munger cautions people to be satisfied with what they have, i.e. avoid envy, jealously, etc.
So I leave you with the Munger mantra: "[The] safest way to get what you want is to deserve what you want."
Be honest, work hard to deserve your success in your life. |

Success needs to be defined by you. You can be successful if you are poor and always in need of money but totally at peace with yourself and feel good with the work you do. That person is Mother Teresa.
So, success needs to be first defined by yourself. Remember that success is a progression of worthy goals. So what is your worthy goals? Are you achieving them? |
