OK - the absolutely minimum risk that you can get is with US govenment TBills. Check out
www.treasurydirect.gov
Zero chance of your money not being returned, no state tax, no commissions, and no fees at all unless you have more than $100,000 with them. The 3 month bills are currently paying almost 5%.
Kind of tough to beat for low risk. |

IRA, Very minimal risk and is a good investment that can later be used for other things besides retirement. Also look at Certificates of Deposit. No risk low return but good for everything |
