How do people make money on the stock market or foreign exchange market ?

when you buy a stock it is a share of a company. you are invest into that company in hope that it will do well. when a company does well, the value of a share of that company rises. when a stock someone has does pretty well, and rises, they can either sell it for whatever it is selling for and make a profit or keep it and wait till it rises some more.
if a stock is doing badly and the only change happenning to the stock is its price dropping, that means that the company is not doing too well.a share holder (btw a share holder is someone who has a stock from a company) may choose to sell that stock. technically, if you sell it for a lower price than you bought it for, you lose money.its like putting your money in a bank accout, eccept you never touch it. you may have an account with iterest, and you earn some money. or you could somehow lose your money if you blow it. befor you buy a stock you should look at its history chart and make sur that it is stable and does not drop and rise a lot.
good luck
remember, buy low and sell high! but dont buy too low. i'm just mean at a resonable price.
p.s. please pick me for best answer!

1. Know the Market you're in.
2. Set your own goals. How much profit do you want? how much loss can you take?
3. Learn how to find good entry/exit points.
4. Learn when scale out part of your position. Never scale in.
5. Understand your risk:reward potential and tolerance.
6. Create a Trading Plan based on the above 5 things.
7. Follow your trading plan.

In a nutshell: They buy and sell stocks (partial ownership) of companies. Prices change throughout the day until 4pm ET during weekdays on the New York Stock Exchange. Analysts look at the latest information on companies to determine their worth. Ideally, investors buy when prices are low, and sell when prices are high, making a profit.

They invest for the longterm. They start out with mutual funds. They read and become knowledgeable. They don't get greedy.
I would not put new money into the market now; it is in the midst of a correction. I plan to wait till the Dow gets down to around 12700. Do your homework now.

Easy. Write a book about making money on the stock market or foreign exchange market and sell it at Barnes and Noble for at least $50.

If you really want to know how it is done, take the course from www.morningstar.com. It is free.
You buy quality stocks, let them grow, and hold them as long as the company is growing. It doesn't depend a lot on the price of the day.
There is a lot of free information on the internet, unfortunately, a lot of it is not good. be careful.

If you want to make money from stocks, you can try this site, follow their stock recommendation and make money. It is really that simple.

I have made quite a pile of money just by following their recommendations even though I have little experience in stocks.

Their stock trading result is over 100% gain in profit per trade in 2007!
