1. They find out the needs of the client
2. They sell the client on the product that fits the clients needs
3. They have references of other clients with the same product
4. They do what they say they are going to do!!!
5. They follow up after the sale

Try to create a good win to win situation where both parties agrees and satisfies in one decision. The best way to get what you want is to help your client what he/she wants and vice versa. If that works then you would be able to close deals in a good way.
