Purple is right. It's called The Law of Attraction, and it is an earthly law just like gravity. Plus, it actually does work. *Never* say or think "I can't afford that". Instead, when you see a thing you want that seems out of your budget, relax your shoulders and smile and say, "I can afford that." Soon you will.

Every day, repeat to yourself several times, "I always have more than enough money for all my wants and needs." If an unexpected bill comes, say it again. If someone asks you for money, say it again. If you see something expensive in a store, say it again. Always keep that phrase going in your mind. Guaranteed unexpected money will come to you.

Other tricks:

Get a fake 100 dollar bill and put it in your wallet so every time you open your wallet you see it looking at you. It teaches your brain to expect to see money every time you open your billfold. This attracts money.

Never spend to the last dollar. Always keep at least one dollar bill in your wallet or billfold. Money attracts money.

Study money. Tell money you like it and it is welcome around you. Say to yourself daily, "Man. I can't get away from money. Money is always chasing me around." This one works fast. Read up about money and get more relaxed and friendly towards its energy. It wants to help you!

Keep in mind money is nothing but energy. It flows in and flows out but is always flowing in. You are attracting it right this second - you just don't see it yet.

Don't be stingy. Stinginess pushes money away, believe it or not. If you see a needy person who asks for money, and your gut feels okay with it, give them *just a little more* than you usually feel comfortable with. More money will fly in to replace what you gave them within ten days. Not a trick. (Read the bottom.)

Money also comes when you are doing the right thing. Unless you just "like that sort of thing", working for The Man at a corporation is NOT the right thing. The right thing is your passion, whatever you get all goonish and geeky about and grin about as soon as you see it, read about it, or think about doing it (this does not include sex). It's usually a specific thing that you have loved in secret since you were a kid. If you get goosebumps about it and feel a little uneasy about "how am I going to make enough money to survive doing X", then X is the right thing.

Do the right thing while keeping your day job, and within 18 months usually, circumstances change in your life so you can let go of the day job and pursue what you love fulltime. With some risks, of course.

Remember that out on a limb is where the fruit is.

Normally I would never share this openly, because bragging about this kind of thing is wrong - but I gave a handicapped guy ten extra bucks the other day when he came into a sushi bar where I was and only had five bucks to buy something with. I overheard him ask a waiter what he could get for five dollars. My heart went out to him. I slipped him a ten and said, "Get something for REAL." Then left. That was yesterday. Today a woman who owed me $300 suddenly gave it to me - three Benjamins. Just like that.

That's the way it works. Generosity and stupidity are closely related, but if you test your generosity feelings and your gut says go for it, give to others. Tithing by the way is a scam. God will let you know when to give. It's like a command telling you when to do it, and your whole body obeys - there is no question or disobeying! That's the way the Universe likes us to "tithe" - when God or whoever you believe in literally tells you or asks you to. If you keep a generous spirit about you and welcome money without feeling guilty about it, money will definitely come.
