Well ...It's going to last for a couple of years more, depending on who will be the next president and who will be in the congress and in the senate. definitely the congress and the senate should not be of the same party or things will get a lot, a lot more worse...that they are now.
This is the end of the American Empire ...A new age has started. Now it is China's and Asia's turn. They will reign in this century and perhaps next. I am scared to death that we are heading toward the depression of the 1930's ...I heard a lot of horrible things about that era from my grandparents and parents. Depends on who we elect and how hard he/she will work to get things fixed and done. |

For this to be called a recession, it must be 2 quarters of negative GDP growth. That means, 1/2 a year for it to even be classified as one.
Most likely it will end by Q2 2009 if the government doesn't negatively intervene(increase taxes). |

Check out what the stock market did today. Went through the roof on news that the worst is over. Not sure who said the worst is over but the experts on Wall Street believed it. Hopefully it all goes up from here. |

Honestly.. Unless lenders and the government can work together yes it will get worse.
There are so many things that can be done, but it takes a village ( as they say)
I hope once November comes it will be the beginning of something great for America.. we'll just have to see. |

If McCain is elected (I certainly think he will be) that means four more years of failed GOP economic policies and a continued failed war. After four years of McCain the Dow will be at 6000 and falling and the death toll in Iraq will be near or above 12000. I expect we will again hear people ask: Is it time for change yet? |
