Look it up on the link below and multiply by the number of shares you bought. Deduct the broker commissions and a few dollars for transfer taxes.
Depending on the stock, it may pay a dividend as well while you own it. |

As much as anyone is willing to pay for it. Boeing stock was in the 30's a decade ago; it is now worth over $90 a share because the company is doing well. But some other companies have had stock go down, or become worthless. |

Whatever another buyer is willing to pay for it, less any stockbroker fees. Stocks are sold on the various exchanges using the bid/ask price system. A sell can ASK a certain price for his stock. A buyer can then purchase those stocks at that price (market price) or list a BID for a lower price. Whenever a Bid price and an ASK price gets together, a sale takes place. |
