None - haven't sold any yet. This is the golden time to buy -

You can deduct up to $3000 stock losses off your taxes by selling now, waiting at least 31 days and reinvesting back into those same stocks at lower prices, but this is something not to be done lightly - look at IRS publication 550 for details and consult the experts first before doing this.

You don't have to reinvest to take the tax break - but by reinvesting in good companies - you will have the same number of stocks at a lower cost - so when the market does get back up - you're in a better position to reap some rewards.

I haven't lost anything yet, because I haven't sold any of my stocks. They're currently down about 40 percent, but I expect them to come back up again in time.

You can check the indexes at http://www.180.vn to see how many percent that the investor may loose in this year.

I am a contrarian and I sold near the high and have been sitting in all cash for over a year.

I hope to make lots of money on the upside. If we fall to a 50% loss by the time these people claiming they haven't lost money because they haven't sold get back to even I will have made 100%, doubled my money.

Unrealized losses are still losses. The more you lose "on paper" the less dollars you have left to use to recover. A 50% loss means you need a 100% gain to get even.

It is important to protect capital.
