I don't know, B of A doesn't have much of a presence in my area,
However unless you have a large amount BofA might not be for you. Check with them, but also check with the smaller neighborhood banks of credit unions.They're geared more to the average working guy. Beware, any bank, might say no minuimum balance, but they will hit you hard with fees. After all, it does cost money to stay in business, so expect to pay some. But don't allow yourself to be hit with so many it takes a bit bite out of your account.

You can typically open a bank account with as little as 50.00. Most banks now offer a reward for when you have your first direct deposit. Good luck and always read the fine print as many banks over many options.
