How much % return is very very good for full time stock trader ?

FRIEND
25 to 30 % on short term investments.
Of course, some time some scrips may even yield more than 100 % annual return, but its better not to rely on that return and book reasonable profits at proper times.

It really all depends on the risk model. Very low risk would probably average about 1% per day, which is what I was making when I didn't understand the market well enough and used a very conservative strategy. Now that I understand the signals a bit better and can spot support and resistance, I would consider 25% to be a very very good day with moderate risk. However, my mentor does even better than that, though I don't know what her return adds up to.

One thing though, I don't do it full time. I only spend about 15 minutes working on creating my trade and then put in my sell order and just wait for the market to fill it. That averages about half an hour to two hours before I'm out. Also, I do not have a good entry point every day, so I only get in about 3-4 days per week. I actually found that if I tried to do it full-time, I didn't do as well. Ironic but true.

Genaraly stock market returns on an average is 15-20%.

Any return about 30-50 % per year, or
more than 3-5% per month or
more than .02 to .1% per day

It really depends. If you are just buying and selling stocks you should be able to get between 20-50% annually.

If you are plaining on trading high risk options you should shoot for a target of at least 100% return.

You propably want to have a mixture of both. But it really depends on you and your trading level.

If u are able to make 30% gains consistently every annum, then it should be considered as very good gains from stock investing.

With trading the percentage is less about 25-30 % , as trading is inherently riskier and you cannot avoid going into losses.

For each and every trade, it isn't necessary "to hit home runs".

"You just want to hit singles and doubles. The triples, home runs and grand slams will take care of themselves."

What does this mean? On a consistent basis about 8 out of 10 trades - as far as stocks are concerned: as long as you are covering the cost of your trade and are putting 1% to 2% profit in the trading account, this is considered a "single or a double".

When trading options: 3% to 6% is considered a "single or a double." A "home run" is 15% to 20%.

There are many trading sayings and expressions. Five of them come to mind:

1] "There aren't' any gifts on Wall St."

2[ "Trees don't grow to Heaven. Neither do stocks or any other investment."

3] "Plan your trade. THEN trade your plan."

4] "A trader will never go broke taking profit."

5] "Bulls and Bears earn money. Pigs get fat. Hogs [greedy traders] get slaughtered. They lose the money in their trading accounts."

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!
