I always thought that a good job for kids would be to help adults program their cell phones to get ring tones. A lot of adults have a hard time figuring this stuff out. You could probably charge $10 a session and people would pay it. You could post a notice at your church and people could meet you there in the lobby, and it would only take a few minutes for you to figure out their cell phones.
Whatever you do, though, be careful not to be alone with someone you don't know well. Like, if you offer to rake leaves or shovel snow, and the owner says, "Why don't you come in to my house for a minute while I find my wallet" then don't do it. There are too many dangerous people out there. Always let your parents know where you will be and when you will be back.
You should also read, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" for more insight into ways for kids to make money.

why 101 weeks? thats a long time..more than 2 years! by the time you get the money saved you prolly wont even want what you want now! mow lawns, shovel snow, rake leaves, all good quick cash jobs, maybe make a shorter goal than 2 years, what is it that you want? |

It depends on how smart you are. Selling stuff is a good way to go. or you could moe lawns or something.
Personally I'm the con artist type myself. I would go door to door collecting money in a tin can for a fake charity. Goto a rich neighborhood and tell them it's cash only b/c too many ppls checks have bounced.
Make it a good charity too. Something with children. Get a pic of a 3rd world starving kid and use one of those print out iron on kits to put a picture of the kid on a t shirt to wear while you collect.
Make up a good story like " I decided to support little manuel because he was the same age as I am and we both love to read books."
Then you can buy you're new video game system or whatever stupid crap you want. |
