Here are several suggestions. I do not have a financial interest in any of these websites. (This does not violate the Yahoo answers ban on solicitations as I have no financial interest)
Consider the the Vanguard Prime Money Market Fund. If you are in a high tax bracket you may prefer their tax exempt money market funds:
https://personal.vanguard.com/us/FundsByType
Sometimes other institutions will have a higher teaser rate, but Vanguard tends to have the highest yields I've found over the long run. (Vanguard money markets are not FDIC insured, however.)
Article on teaser rates:

Bankrate.com provides links to high interest rate banks.

ING and HSBC often have rates close to Vanguard, and most of their products are FDIC insured. You can check these at the following links:

Hello,
I also had a similair problem as you have.
I had a good amount of money, and wanted it to grow.
So I looked around on the internet to find something that is:
1) giving me great returns towards a relatively small risk
2) Professional people who know what they where doing with my money.
I'm glad to say I finally found a moneymanager who is capable of giving me good returns and give me a great support.
On this blog you can follow up all the results that he is making:
http://my-robottrader.blogspot.com/
My money is working for me, in a little over two months I already have a ROI of 68%.
So you don't hear me complaining!
Annyway if you would like to get in touch with my moneymanager to have some more information feel free to contact me you can send an email to me at derrekmay at gmail.com.
Then I'll give you the email adress of my moneymanager
Hope this has helped you! |

i'd invest in value defense stocks and also visa ipo
don't liste to the other guy buying as many VISA stock as you can, i can guarntee you the price will drop like fly after 2nd or 3rd day after the IPO price.
you want to own Visa stock on a pullback and leave it for 5-10 years |

I personally would put the money into my ING account. The interest is pretty good.
And if you may need the money in less than 6 months... |

I think what would be a good option is an online savings account, which pays higher most banks. If you need access to your money, then that might be a good idea.
One other option, is you might consider a International CD. You can get them for as little as 3 moths time and some of them pay close to 9% annually and are insured. However, you are vulnerable to the currency fluctuations in these International CD's.
Good Luck |

I'd buy as many shares of VISA stock as I can when it comes out on the market (after march 20th).
It will be a great long term investment for your portfolio!
Just like Mastercard stock. |
