How would you react if Warren Buffett was found out to be an inside trader?

In some people's conception, he already is, but that is not quite the way it works.

Warren Buffett doesn't have to do any insider trading. While working to protect Berkshire Hathaway's interest he protects his own interests. Just as with Bill Gates the enterprise IS his wealth. Oh, he spun off a bit for personal expenses and family, but those funds are not seen as in danger from market news and the related. When Martha Stewart used her inside knowledge to cut her losses as the long run turned out she would have made a profit if she held it as it sank and through the following rebound.

Warren has patience and plenty plus the experience to realize what the market fluctuations are like, Martha was not so experienced or gifted in patience.

I would not be surprised. people in that bracket have a very tight circle and I am sure they are not playing spin the bottle.lol. I believe that that could only be the tip of the iceberg if we should ever be allowed full access to his life

I don't know, I thought they all were.

It will never happen. His time frame is so long that any short-term inside information is meaningless. And he is way too smart and has too much integrity to even be tempted.

It wouldn't change my opinion, or lessen my respect for the man. He is widely known for investment management savvy, but that is not all he is.

I also have a deep respect for Michael Milken. He went to prison, but his investment paradigm is proven valid. Many of the bonds weren't junk, and many jobs and technologies benefited and exist today from them.

I would want in on it to.He can basically shift the trading almost on his word-if he says a certain stock is good, it can be dropping like hotcakes, all of a sudden, everyone is investing in it and shares go through the roof.

Wow i'd be like, "who's his source so he can give me financial advice".

Buffett and his fund don't trade for the most part. He is a value investor and buys or heavily invests in select companies. He and Berkshire Hathaway don't trade like a stock mutual fund might do.

He does at times have large amounts of cash from the company profits that he needs to invest until he can find more companies to buy but that is not his goal.

Some of his insurance companies that Berkshire owns might be trading with their premiums, their reserve funds but that is separated a long way away from Buffett's direct influence.

It almost can't happen by what he does.

For example his large investment in GE was to buy preferred stocks which is like bonds and with that he got warrants to purchase GE stock at a price years in to the future. That is a long term investment and not a trade.
