You can invest $30,000 into prosper loans at prosper.com, assuming you take above average risk you can get about 15% APY, if you take half of what you get back each month and invest it back you can get build a nice nest egg, that's what I'm doing right now, I'm already getting back about 2k each month principal plus interest and only have a couple of loan default, my average APY is about 17%, I take pretty high risk. So there you go, you can make pretty safe returns. |

rental real estate - buy a 2-3 unit building that has enough rent to pay all expenses - you live free, more take home pay and more money to invest in next project - does your work have a 401k plan? you should be putting money into there. DO NOT do Roth IRA - DO a regular IRA - saving the taxes now will help you a lot more than 40 yrs from now |

Your options for investment are :
1 High interest account / ISA
2 Property Rental (sub-let is possible for that amount)
3 StockMarket / Currencies Market / etc..
4 Own business idea
The interest account is the obvious secure route, but the interest rates are soso.
The property direction isn't the best choice at the moment with the current market slump.
As for StockMarkets etc.., this is an area where people assume is an easy way to make a fast buck. Thats totally wrong.
To make a living from trading the stockmarket you need to know what your doing. Its exactly like you would any other profession. As for relying on a broker to pick your positions, thats at your own risk.
I suggest you invest that money in YOU.
Learn something valuable. Take a course that might help you get a better payed job. Or even do a property develpment course, stockmarket trading course, business course etc...
There are loads of possibilities
Good Luck |

If I were you I'd make an appointment with a local financial adviser. Some are free and most don't cost that much. Do this and you'll know that you getting advice from someone who is experienced instead of someone on the the internet that you don't know.
Good Luck,

Hello!
You are right- US banks don't provide great returns.
Better put your money in bank in Eastern Europe. You will get a 12% APY with NO RISK AT ALL because all deposits are insured by the government. No fees. No risk. No taxes.
12% annual return is guaranteed
I have opened such a high yield account 5 years ago. Email me for more info.
