I'm really bad at math do u think it is still possible to do well in finance and work in investment banking?

No. You might be able to make it in sales -- but not as an investment banker or trading.

Actually, there are a lot of things you can do in finance that don't require stellar math skills. If it is really what you are interested in then don't be intimidated, you can definately find your niche.

There are a lot of different approaches...some people do use very complex mathematical models and statistical regressions. Other people think that models can only tell you so much and focus primarily on the qualitative aspects of a business (Warren Buffet).

In other fields of finance there is a larger focus on "selling" and "making deals" which rely more on interpersonal skills than on mathematical prowess.

dont worry about what they tell you.. the maths they use in finance is easy these days because there are financial models. being good at maths helps (so probably wouldn't recommend becoming an IB or anything finance related otherwise but if u really want to, go for your life) also being able to work numbers e.g. 14 * 17 in your head helps alot Goodluck!
