I am currently working in Dubai. I want to know how to open an NRI account in Bangalore,& which bank is better

The best bank is Indian overseas bank in my experience. Even though the bank doesn't have the profile of SBI and ICICI bank, you will enjoy a personalized service. when you visit second or third time to the IOB branch, they will easily recognise you as a member of the family. their guidance is Far better and the employee turn out is too little. You will see the same face again and again.

You can open the account by sitting in dubai itself. if you not comfortable with that, you may approach the bank at banglore, when makes the next trip

Actually there is no NRI accounts, the accounts available are like NRO,RFC etc. pl click the link below to have further details

I have to say that the HSBC are by far the best to deal with.

Better to contact ICICI bank over there or you may visit their bebsite. Why I am suggesting because services of ICICI banks are prompt. Though they are charging for all types of services available with them like all private banks.

I would like to suggest you two Banks; State Bank Of India and ICICI. Both SBI & ICICI has branches in B'Lore and in Dubai. For opening an NRI account you should check with any of your desired Bank at your place in Dubai and they will be more than happy to assist you.

State Bank of India (SBI) is best for NRI, you can contact nearest SBI Branch in dubai, they will guide for further formalities and you can open NRI Account in Banglore. and you can send money to the banglore sbi account. Im in bahrain. im also waiting for NRI account opening... my native place is Coimbatore. tamilnadu.
