You got Q's I got A's

CGMFX - very risky. High risk because this maneger does not diversify. But I believe this maneger has SKILL. But if you're a teen - the 20's you have time to ride the market. His past performance even in the down years are very good.
I'd recommend diversifying. $4K in CGMFX, Coca-Cola is a good one. Maybe $1-2 K in that. My speculation is that JMBA $1000 to $2000. (a smoothie company) will rise soon again. It looks promising and cheap right now. I also have a feeling wi-fi and wireless companies are going to strive soon with all wireless everywhere coming out. So choose 1 speculation stock. (Cisco, Linksys, Netgear, etc.) Also, have some energy Conoco Philips another $1-2K in that. Then you'll have around $4k left over. Invest Another $1-2k something of your choice. Military field, Google, Apple, Heathcare, those are always good fields. Do research.
DO NOT invest in Ambercrombie and Hollister. It was the hype 4 years ago. Ambercrombie finds it self losing money every year. The problem with these two sister companies that their market for buyers have become slim. Their clothing are for big athletic built men and good looking slim females.
With the extra $3k that you will have left, save it for when these stocks drop in price. For example, if Coca-cola drops $1, buy more of that stock. WHen Coke drops even more, buy more! It will eventually go back up. Or wait for an oppturinity to spend the $3K on a good looking stock. Again, do research. |

Since 1 of 3 money managers usually match or beat the S&P 500 in a year (even less n longer periods), I would suggest investing in a Mutual Fund that is indexed to the S&P 500. You'll beat more than two-thirds of anybody. (this also assume little experience with the market) |

Intel is the king of chips. They are starting to enter an age when they are dealing more and more on the quantum level and I read they have found some very cool things. |

Without having more information about your personal information, such as age, current income and other data including risk tolerance, martial status, and demographics it would be very inappropriate for me or any other experience person to provide specific information in this type of media.
However, there are websites that serve as tutorials for novice investors as well as information for the more experienced. Such sites are Smart Money.com; Winning Investing.com; Zacks.com;
There are other sites such as MSN. Money, Yahoo Finance, Investors Hub, that provide access to various investment products as well as access to several experienced advisors, Reading their posting provide a wealth of free information that serves all types of investors whether they be novices, such as yourself, or experienced professionals |

Don't put all your eggs in one basket! Invest some of it in retail or agriculture, and ration some of it into the technology market. Just remember, big tech companies come down just as fast as they sail upwards... I wouldn't suggest Microsoft, Apple or Google unless you're putting in another couple grand. |

Exxon and Chevron have decent dividends and right now they will do nothing but go up in value.
Pepsi is very diverse owning Doritos, KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut all things that people will buy no matter what the economy.
CWGIX capital world fund is the one that gives me the biggest dividend so you might also look into that as well |

Don't take any one's advise without looking at the stock yourself. If you don't know what to look for you can start in the library looking at Value Line to see how strong the company is and look at a ten year history. Yahoo finance can give you good information also. If you don't know much about the stock market, learn or get a financial advisor. I wouldn't take anyones tips from the internet the market is to volital and very hard to judge by the professionals. I've been doing my own investing since 1988 and this last year has been very hard |
