among your safe savings when there is a good amount you should prioritise by parting all your savings,
like our of 100 pts you should always keep 50 points in safe place for unforeseen expectations.
remaining you should invest 50%of remaining 50 and then play safe.
its tough to resisit temptation.
but, share market its good to quit now for you, recovering 3lak it uphill task where the market doesnt rule as per our expectations.

Wait a minute, don't get out of the stock market because you made some mistakes and lost money, learn from your mistakes, make a better game plan a better strategy. It's the only way to make money in the market. Try something a little more complex than just buying a stock, I normally trade just options, but in a market like this I prefer to play ETFs, check out powershares ultra sectors, you can play them any way, gain from a bull market as well a bear market. If the ultras are too much for you, just play the regular sectors ETFs. You can always make money from the market. Remember your money doesn't get burnt, it's just someone else got it not you.

Not to be mean, but you are probably unqualified to be in the stock market if this is your problem. The stock market should be viewed as a long-term investment vehicle... ESPECIALLY if you are an amateur investor, which you clearly seem to be.
Second, if you are getting hammered right now when the market is up 10%+ this year alone as a whole, you are probably investing in HIGHLY speculative stocks which inherently carry higher risk.
While I don't know exactly what your portfolio looks like, you sound like you should re-balancing towards more conservative stocks and/or mutual funds... or a money market account. While the thought of risky investments can lead to riches, you have to know what you are doing, or get completely lucky in order to make millions. |
