You can unload the stock for pennies and claim a capital loss on taxes. That's about all. The stock will not rise to what it was. |

i don't think most of these boneheads realize that there is NO MORE WAMU stock. wamu stock was converted into JPMorgan stock (JPM), however, wamu crashed in stock price from like 2 to 4 bucks down to 16 cents in less then a week. it went from around 2 bucks to 16 cents as soon as its collapse and buyout by JPMorgan was announced. |

WaMu was bought by Citigroup, which means that your shares will be exchanged for Citi shares. Once the dust settles on that transaction, you can either hold Citi stock or sell it. The good news is that you didn't loose all your money!

I think that your stock might even be worth a bit more as JP Morgan, Chase took over WaMu. I know they are still strong, they are building a new headquarters in Europe. Good Luck! |
