My dear student, you are lucky that you have never entered the share market. Please never think to enter in future too, if you keep yourself healthy and stress free. There are many other sources to invest. Save this answer on your desktop. |

what you want to know about share.
1)Never rely on other tips.
2)_If some one was capable of guiding you perfectly he or she would be among ambani's so please study the share and then invest in it for at least 12 months or more. |

If you don't have any idea then go online get a 101 Stock Market course and then look for some good strong companies (how do you know which ones are strong?, that's the thing, nobody knows!), this is a risky bussiness and you have to be prepared to see your 20.000 become a 10.000 . |

If I were you, I would not enter the market now. Put the amount if a fixed deposit and earn decent interest instead, is my advise to you now. |

Welcome to the World of Equity Investors!
It is a good thing to invest in shares, a risky venture to some extent but with sound financial knowledge u can keep your risks Minimum.
Shares are nothing but a PART of the SHARE CAPITAL of the COMPANY.
The company is USING YOUR MONEY to invest in its projects, expansion, development etc.
So based on these Investments that the COMPANY makes, it earns profits. Since u have contributed your money for the Company's investments it will SHARE with YOU the PROFITS it gains.
The SHARE OF PROFITS will depend on YOUR SHARE OF INVESTMENT with the Company.
Now coming to your investment of 20000. Some Points to remember.
Diversified investment is a Good Option.
Invest in different sectors. (even if one sector under-performs the others will fetch u gains)
Decide before investing, whether u are a long term investor or a short term investor. (given the present market conditions, short term investments are risky)
Shares never give a constant return. Unlike Banks deposits where Returns are certain.
Initially u take the help of some professional Investor. Mutual Funds are a Good option. They provide Professional Expertise with Diversified Portfolio.
All the Best!!
