You forgot to mention the name of the company.
You can enquire with stock exchanges for the existence of the company. You can check the wesites of Bombay and National stock exchanges for the relevant information. Bombay stock exchange website is www.bseindia.com and National stock exchange is www.nseindia.com. Do check.
You can check with the Registrars of Companies in your region. Ask for details.
There's no other way it seems for now. But do specify the company name so that we can look around and tell you. |

Find out who bought them or if they liquidated. |

There are a couple of possibilities. If the company got bought out, you might be eligible to get something from the acquiring company depending on the terms of the buyout. Other than that, if you're in the US you can write off the loss on your income tax on a schedule D. |

Hello,
See there are options available to you in such cases:
Firstly, Do some research abt the company as others have suggested abt any take overs or change in the name of the company.
Secondly, directly contact the CS of the company or the compliance officer of the company abt the same.
and lastly just write off and put those in some corner of the drawer and wait for its relisting .
