if you don't want any risk then put it in the bank, you'll get maybe 2-4%....put it into stock and well then you have risk....my bet is on green stock for the future, wind, solar, recovery of waste products to reduce green house gases...alternative energy sources...you'll make some money and help the planet.......

buy a short term government bond like FHLB note. Federal Home Loan Bank Note. twice the return of the U.S Treasury ant the same level and the same government backing and state tax free. If not place it in something guaranteed, like a CD or a short term individual bond, NOT A BOND FUND!

larry silverman
I would say that you should go with the vanguard all bond index fund. They carry very little risk and bond fund is on the rise for the next 2-3 years. Their return should beat the saving cd!

Well you could stick it in a CD or savings account but the interest is terrible right now and it wont grow much, but it wont go anywhere either.

you sound like you have no idea what your doing, but you have a large amount of money. First thing is I'm happy your smart and want to invest! Next get a finacial advisor or a stock broker something along those lines to help you so you dont lose all of it! good luck!

For that short of a time frame stick to either a savings account or talk to a bank and see what kind of CD rate they will give you. That is a sizable amount and you may get a better than market rate. Shop around.

There is no investment "without risking loss." The closest would be insured bank CDs.

Hello,

I also had a similair problem as you have.
I had a good amount of money, and wanted it to grow.
So I looked around on the internet to find something that is:
1) giving me great returns towards a relatively small risk

2) Professional people who know what they where doing with my money.

I'm glad to say I finally found a moneymanager who is capable of giving me good returns and give me a great support.
On this blog you can follow up all the results that he is making:
http://my-robottrader.blogspot.com/

My money is working for me, in Four months time I already have a ROI of 136%.
So you don't hear me complaining!
Annyway if you would like to get in touch with my moneymanager to have some more information feel free to contact me you can send an email to me at derrekmay at gmail.com.
Then I'll give you the email adress of my moneymanager

Hope this has helped you!
