If you are not a savy investor I'd suggest a Certificate of Deposit. (CD) It's isn't a hot investment, but it is safe and there is no risk. |

1st of all please invest what you can afford to lose. Second do your homework - know what and why you are buying the companies/stock. If you want to invest aggressively I suggest: CEDC and AFSI. If you want to go conservatively: SBUX
If you want to make speculative picks I suggest: RAD and JMBA |

peezy, it depends on your goals and needs.
Do you need to amass more money for a distant goal, like retirement? Save toward a goal ten or fifteen years away, like college for your kids? Add to your monthly income? Save for emergencies and be able to get at the money quickly when and if it's needed?
In general, low-risk money markets and well-chosen real estate tend to be good investments for the long term. |
