Tax wise set up a college fund and most states have one. Consult a local financial intuitions for info.

Keep it in your name and put it in a 529 savings plan for her higher education. The plans are run by the states and will be invested in a portfolio of stocks and bonds. 529 plans also have tax incentives. Contact your state treasurers office.

I think the best way to invest in a childs future is bonds. You can invest in blue chip companies that are very solid and offer a great rate of return.you have different letters of the alphabet that will tell you your risk.A bond with an A is almost always guaranteed to pay off because its likelihood for default because of bankruptcy is very minimal.Whats the odds of mcdonalds going bankrupt.Your rate of return is less with an A bond but will get better the lower the letter which means you take on more risk. You can do research at the library with the value line it will tell you everything you need to know about a company its asset/debt ratio and etc. good luck

I think bonds would bring the biggest return in the long run. Unless you want to keep adding money then I would go with one of those college funding accounts.

Set up a college fund for her.

Put the money into safe investments like ETFS and mutual funds and let the money sit there.

I also recommend u look into a 529 plan, which lets u invest this money tax free, if u dont touch it until she goes to college.

Finally, read this article. Its very important for any investor to understand:

A college fund is a great idea. But more importantly, invest in the stock market. A mutual fund would be a great start...an S&P index fund or any other fund with a good track record with which you are comfortable. You have way too long to worry about short term results. Don't throw away potential earnings by being too conservative.

collage a school or a stock investment wich may bring her millions of dollors$$$$$$$ i would pick stock and save some for collage
