BRK.B is a very safe investment, but be aware that Buffet himself has said that future growth will in no way match past performance, it is just too big of a conglomerate. For a mixture of safety and growth, I like American consumer staples (Nike, Coke, MacDonalds, Wal Mart, Phillip Morris International). Also, you will likely get a double bonus as the dollar strengthens against the pound over the next few years. |

Those are both pretty safe bets. I own some Berkshire and its performed well for me. I think either of those options are smart and fairly conservative investments. |
