My shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill have gone up 22% since I bought them. They are at the start of their growth.
Just think of all those poor hungry people needing their Mexican food fix that you will be helping.
Thank you I think I will go now.

You could give it to a poor college student like myself...
Just kidding. I think the best way to invest it would be to give it to your community. Donate it to elementary schools and high schools to buy better books, have better afterschool programs, etc.

Look into "socially responsible funds." They are mutual funds that screen the business they invest in to exclude such things as cigarette and arms manufacturers, companies using child labor, etc.

Another possibility is to deposit it in a bank that makes loans to an area, like an inner city, where development is needed.

You can also set up some kind of a trust and each year withdraw about 5% per year and give it to charities. At this withdrawal rate, the money withdrawn will maintain the same purchasing power forever.

E-mail me if you'd like to discuss this further. Click the link under my avatar to e-mail. (I'm not in the finance industry. I have studied investing for retirement and understand investing a little better than most people.)

Giving it to the Salvation Army is what I would do. They are a very reliable organization and every penny goes to help people in all sorts of situations.

You need to find yourself a business partner who can help your money grow.

You should 1st be VERY VERY careful who you trust, Secondly, don't get a good accountant, get a GREAT accountant, get references, and second opinions, make sure to go with an established firm, you CAN NOT afford to go cheap and usually accounting costs are a tax write off anyway. An accountant will show you how to MAXIMIZE on ALL aspects of investment this will Protect what you have, remember sometimes "not losing money" is a lot like making money in hindsight. Do not confuse the accountant with an investment adviser, here you should be even MORE careful, remembering that 1) investment advisers are a DIME a dozen, 2) they get renumerated (paid) more heavily to purchase certain funds rather than others so if they make more commission on one than the other... guess which one they will buy and finally 3) if it is so easy for these invetment advisors to make you tons of money... why are THEY working and not millionaires themselves!

Myself, I fired my investment broker, I now carfully research, and select secure stocks with a 5 yr track record of posative return and of course diversify.

Remember we are usually ALWAYS blinded when we have, try to pretend that finances are tight and crucial, it will help you to avoid costly mistakes and the terrible hindsight thing.

I would recommend also LAKEFRONT PROPERTY for sure BUT it must be on the right lake and purchased low, I purchased my lake front cottage for $200K 2 years ago and now have it for sale listed at $479K not bad.... As far as stocks, I could suggest what I think are a sure steady mix, but I'm not comfortable doing it here. I am about to invest $100K myself and I think I've got the mix pretty close to final, contact me if you wish... like1m@yahoo.com

I think these are some good ideas for you, but be careful, it's YOUR money..... Mike

Invest in real estate! And if you are unsure of CDs, money market, put the money in online savings account with an FDIC insured bank.

I would buy some property and build on it. Turn around and make a greater profit. Also invest a small sum of the money into stable stocks.

seek the advice of a financial advisor... If you cannot earn a return on your money, you can only help for a limited amount of time
