Invest some of it in an ISA (tax free) If you want to take a risk then invest in a stocks and shares maxi ISA. Or you can invest some in mini stocks and shares and cash ISA's.

The rest can either be invested in stocks and shares or a high interest deposit account. It's also worth while opening a high interest current account like those on offer from HBOS.

If you still have money left then you could also buy some premium bonds.
