The very last thing you want to do is to just turn over the money to someone who doesn/t know anything about what he/she is doing.
With a nice sum like that, you shoukld invest in those businesses and activities you know something about or you are passionate about.
If you're unfamiliar with a particular investment or business, ask Qs of those folks whose opinions you trust AND who KNOW what they are talking about.
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

Any kind of investment of your money for profit includes the risk of loosing some or all of that money. Which means that you really have to know what you are doing on your own and not rely too much on other people's advice.
Nobody is going to loose any money by giving you imprudent advice. But you most certainly will loose money if you follow such advice.
My advice is make sure you really know what you are doing, before you do anything with that money. |

Hello,
I also had a similair problem as you have.
I had a good amount of money, and wanted it to grow.
So I looked around on the internet to find something that is:
1) giving me great returns towards a relatively small risk
2) Professional people who know what they where doing with my money.
I'm glad to say I finally found a moneymanager who is capable of giving me good returns and give me a great support.
On this blog you can follow up all the results that he is making:
http://my-robottrader.blogspot.com/
My money is working for me, in a little over two months I already have a ROI of 74%.
So you don't hear me complaining!
Annyway if you would like to get in touch with my moneymanager to have some more information feel free to contact me you can send an email to me at derrekmay at gmail.com.
Then I'll give you the email adress of my moneymanager
Hope this has helped you! |

open up a schwab one account put it all in swvxx which is just an interest earning account. Till you can figure out what you want to grow it in(business or stock& mutual funds). CGMFX was up at one point last year 80%
Brazil's economy is booming check out EWZ. Do your research!!!! What ever you do don't put it all in one basket! Continue if you can to add to it every month.
Good luck to you. |

I came into some money last year and I have distributed into various bonds, ISA's and high interest savings accounts, as I don't like to gamble with my money and it still doesn't feel like my money yet. |

Put it in an ETF. It's as simple as that. ETF's outperform 75% of Mutual Funds and you they historically have gone up roughly 8% a year. Its a safe investment if you chose the right ETF and you don't have to deal with annoying mutual fund managers. |

I would suggest the makers of drugs, I'm talking leagul drugs companies. Electornics. is another good one. and if you are looking into retailers. check to market and see the ones that are holding a good rate and choose from them. Most companits will sell but some you will have to go thro. brokers. Now if you still have excess money and don't know what to do with it. There are a lot of charieties. I would if I had the money I'd give it to the elderly that are so poor they can't make it from one month to the next on their weasily check. and some don't even have the check. |
