Yes, these are all long-term buys.

Best in the world. You'll be a billionaire by Friday. Go ahead and place your order for your Ferrari.

If you are in it for the long term yes they are good buys, with the possible exception of the ETFC buy. The real question is are they good buys for your needs. If you are in it for the long-term and are setting up something to retire on; or saving for a house a few years down the road then you are OK. If you are a day-trader and are looking to make a fast buck, these are probably not the best choises...but you shouldn't lose much either in the short term!

You bought them, you own them and you must have had good sound reasons for buying them.
They all are very good companies and will do very well for in the long term.

For the dollar amount you invested you have spread your self very thin, you may have been better off buying a mutual fund or an ETF, but you'll be OK

We all must learn somewhere, you well do fine with these stocks, good luck

dont like wamu or S..verizon better with their dividend but honestly you need to get out..we owe china 12 trillion and its a billion a day interest we pay...China stops lending and the market crashes and the country is in bedlam..dont think it cant happen as China is ruthless and they are the true superpower..their patience will destroy us in the near future...they want our dollar declined ...get out...i am a financial advisor.cfp

they are decent, but there is no diversification there. They are all in the finance sector (not counting Sprint/Nextel since they won't help you at all - they haven't had a good quarter since when??)

Sorry to say though, you shouldn't have to come here to ask *after* you bought them if they are good or not. Now that you put money in I hope you did your research on what they all are like up AND down.

I have just purchase a property at Madison Square? what do you think?

Well if you bought it, you must have reason to do it. If you bought shares without any reasoning, then good luck.

Whether they are good buys or not it all lies in your hand.

Good Luck

Wow, I don't understand why you buy those stocks.... I don't see how they're gonna go up. Anyways, why do u only buy small amount of shares?? The commission fees will cost u so much...

Danny I have some bad news for you my friend... You should have bought a mutual fund with the amount of money your investing not individual stocks at 10-75 shrs. The problem with what you have done is on a participation basis, it probably cost you $10-40 to buy those stocks each, depending if you went discount or full service, and will cost you that much to sell them too. MRK will have to go up $2-4 just to cover your commissions for the buy and sell, then if you wanted to make any money out of it and another $10 just to make a hundred dollars, so your looking at a 12-14 dollar increase for a $100 bill. As a broker thats been doing this for the last 10 years professionally and 20 yrs personally I feel you would have made a better long term decision by buying a good fund. But good luck with your investments.

looks like you bought those based on recent news or you followed the crowd

MRK - the fate depends on congress

AUY - Long term should be fine it's good you bought it on the dip

ETFC - only time will tell. hope they change management

S - no, long term? that's a big no no

WM - financial sector should be going up but if I were you I'd have picked GS, JPM, or C

buy APA
