I only have a limited amount of money to invest in the stock market. I need a stock that is relatively cheap.?
I need a stock that is cheap but also has a great potential to rebound. I was looking at Washington Mutual. Their stock is selling for about 6 cents right now. In the past year it has been as high as 40 dollars. I heard the government is going to bail them out and their stock will rebound. Is this true? If not, what is a good, cheap stock to invest in right now?

Don't waste your money. Novice investors often think that cheap stocks are a bargain. Rarely is that true. Most of the time, a cheap stock is a BROKEN stock.

You'd be better off buying a few shares of a quality stock such as Altria, GE, HP, etc.

Washington Mutual has failed. That is why its stock is worthless right now. JP Morgan has taken over the banking operations. What that means is only depositors will be protected. Investors lose their money.

When you invest in individual stocks, you always run this risk of losing everything. That is why individual investors like you invest in mutual funds. I'd say invest in a low cost total market index mutual fund.

Unless you can do the proper research on a company, you shouldn't be buying stocks. 6 cents is not a reason to buy.

Pick a good mutual fund, preferably an Index fund, and you'll so much better in the long run.

MRNA is trading at .21 and is on the rise. This is awesome stock that will be worth several dollars in the coming weeks. Medical company. Great dividends can't lose.

Hi, id like to start by telling you that maybe you should consider learning about Trading stocks and Especially "SYSTEM TRADING" Medium term trading, Medium equates to less then a year in one stock and then reinvesting. Dont worry you will understand more so as you learn about my suggestion.

ALSO buying a "cheap" stock is not the way to go just because you have little money. You see that investing in a cheap stock (IE <0.50c) moving one cent in either direction is a large percentage (Ie 0.01 = 2%) Think of terms of percentages rather then how many stocks you can purchase. If $1000 Dollars of stock gains 10%, it is still $100 wether you have 20 stocks or 2000 stocks.

I dont recommend you invest blindly, or by taking someone "Hot Tip". If your not really sure and dont wish to learn, id recommend a stable mutual fund. They have had a bad time recently, but that does happen to mostly everyone during a market Correction. (a crash cycle).

Wamu is bankrupt and their stock is worthless. My advice to you is stay away from buying individual stocks and go with mutual funds or ETF's. I personally like small and mid cap value funds right now but I would not recommend a particular fund to you--that has to be your decision.

WM? No way. Don't throw you money out dealing with that junk. Look for a blue chip, low p/r, decent dividend and look to hold. The stocks .06 for a reason. soon, it will be useless paper. WM wil not rebound. Them and lehman died. Aig, and autos are being helped by our weak economy govt. Which taxpayers will get screwed for.

I would suggest reading the following article on where to invest your money. You need to be more cautious more then ever due to the current economic conditions. Good luck!
