Of course it is a scam. You should ignore such email. Its purpose is to extract money from you with nothing in return. Such emails are sent to millions of people all over the world, mostly to advanced economies in the hope that one or two of the recipients will respond. There are people in Nigeria, Russia, and many other countries who make a living swindling people with these schemes. Stay away.

Just make it as spam and move on what they will do is usally send you a money order that looks real the bank will take it and by the time the bank discovers its fake you will be negitive in your account and have to pay it back...

Yes, the email message that you have received is a SCAM. To be exact it is a Check Fraud Scheme. Many of us have received similar messages with different wording but they are all the same. Stay away especially anything that comes from Nigeria. That country is known as one of the biggest countries that Scams originate from. SCAM alert.
