You can try Ameritrade, or Etrade to start. Every brokerage has a minimum investment amount. If you know anyone that has a stock account, ask for a recommendation. |

Log on to E-trade, they have a pretty simple application for opening an account.... figure out what you're going to put into the account...send them a check. Bing bang bananas! you've got an on-line portfolio to work with!

It's a nice " fantasy portfolio" site and you can get the hang of investing quickly...and compare your choices/returns/etc to about 1300 other portfolios.

and watch Cramer on cnbc at 6pm and 11pm eastern. I started investing in january and am up 50%! Cramer rules...... |
