I would agree with the exxon choice, oil will continuely rise, because people need it especially in the United States. When the price of oil becomes so absurd you will probably see the Natural Gas as an alternative. A good way to watch the market is going to MSNBC throughtout the day they cover the market it is a great soource. I would also like to add if you are going to buy Exxon if you buy it before the 4th quarter earnings come out for exxon chances are you will probably get a little boast for that day because there 4th quarter earnings look good.

Shell

Hess
Some Gas companies
Energysouth Inc.
Keyspan Inc
National Fuel Gas Company

Many of the investors I talk with have invested in Canadian Junior Oil companies. Also some Norwegian exploration companies. Do some research and split your money up into several companies if you go that route. A safer play would be to buy an ETF or mutual fund in the energy sector. |

IGPG they have accomplished alot in the 1 year time of operating and stock is still cheap,they have a well experienced managment team, and a couple of institutions are already jumping in which is rare for a company without past results. I wouldn't put 20,000 into it but I recently put 5,000 in. Do your homework and see what you think. |

Look for stocks in altrnative energy like Wind Generators, or ethonal which will be HUGE in 5 years time.
Ethonal mixed with Gasoline has proven to be cleaner and cheaper than pure Gasoline. Also there are a couple of companies that are getting very close to getting Ethonal to fully replace Gasoline without needing to revamp current engines. BRilliant! |
