Wow, you're asking the million dollar question.

First I want to know what p.m. stands for. Do you mean People's Money? Ren Men Bi?

The irony is that if someone already knew they wouldn't even tell you. :-( Sorry, but investing and equities markets are a "dog-eat-dog" world. The simple fact that I give you advice undermines my own ability to make money. It's minute simply because I'm a small player, but the fact is that it's you versus everyone else when it comes to stocks and investing.

The best advice I can give is for you to:

1) Get some books on investing and if you really want to, find books on short term trading.

2) Get a financial advisor. Do you have any friends who are in the finance business? They can probably help.

3) Stop thinking short term and start thinking long term. Stocks and equities are more profitable if you invest long term.

The general rule is that fast money is high risk, and slow money is low risk. Try to be happy winning a little every day over an entire year. That's the easy money. Try to get as much easy money as you can.

Most important: Educate yourself. There are plenty of books on the subject. Read as much as you can.

This depends on what level of involvement you wish to have in your invesment. If you want to be like most individual investors, you can try some sort of mutual fund. They are a great passive investment that have worked well for me in the past when investing in industries to which I have no inside or direct knowledge of. In these I am pretty well diversified and have realized gains of 6% - 15% annually depending on market conditions.

However, if you are invloved in a certain industry or know something that most people might not know, then you might have an edge and can exploit that. I personally think that you should avoid getting on these online trading sites and attempting to actively manage your own portfolio.

Go in for good qualtiy stocks like L&T, Reliance Industries, Punj LLoyd etc.

Hello,

I also had a similair problem as you have.
I had a good amount of money, and wanted it to grow.
So I looked around on the internet to find something that is:
1) giving me great returns towards a relatively small risk

2) Professional people who know what they where doing with my money.

I'm glad to say I finally found a moneymanager who is capable of giving me good returns and give me a great support.
On this blog you can follow up all the results that he is making:
http://my-robottrader.blogspot.com/

My money is working for me, in a little under three months I already have a ROI of 65%.
So you don't hear me complaining!
Annyway if you would like to get in touch with my moneymanager to have some more information feel free to contact me you can send an email to me at derrekmay at gmail.com.
Then I'll give you the email adress of my moneymanager

Hope this has helped you!
