If you are in US, there are some indian companies listed on NASDAQ for example vipro, infosys, satyam computers, tata motors, dr reddy etc...

Other wise Dmat account is the best way to invest.

if you want to know about indian stocks. you can check www.moneycontrol.com , idbipaisabuilder.in ,www.icicidirect.com. all the web sites of brokerage houses provide information about stocks. website of national stockexchange provides lot of information and charts and other information about companies(www.nseindia.com). when i say information, i mean its book values past performance financial statements like balance sheet , profit loss acccount, quaterly results, current and past press releases, interviews by the company topbrass. if you want trading tips get your self a PAN card get a Demat account and trading account with a stock broker, you 'll get tips

For investing in stocks, you will have to open a D-mat account with a broker or a bank like India Bulls, Sherekan, HDFC Bank, IDBI Bank, etc. Once you open the D-mat account, you will get tips from the company on their websites and on your e-mail.
