Well if u can make the same investment for the next 2 years also i would suggest u to invest in LIC cos they invest your money in the market and also they provide u insurance and the important fact is that after your third year u can either withdraw the money part or in full if u think the growth is enough or even u can wait and watch till you get the highest return, well mail me if u want more details... |

After which you as an investor would be required to develop your own investment system/platform. Further, you would be required to test it through dry runs with pen and paper or with the use of a good stock market simulator. Thereafter, finetuning your investment system to a achieve the level of performance you expect.
It is only after all the above, you would be able to invest your money safely.

Go to your library and read a broad spectrum of books. Investing for Dummies is an excellent title to begin with. Mutual funds are best for those with some risk tolerance, while government bonds provide absolute safety with higher yields. |

Depends on whether you want to start investing in a safe manner or in a more adventurous way.
For safety and a slightly higher rate of return look at corporate debt. It is debt issued by companies, is relatively safe and has a higher rate of interest than offered by banks.
For greater returns you need to invest in stocks and mutual funds, but that takes a lot of time to research and understand so first make a dummy portfolio on a site like moneycontrol.com and see how you do. |
