The ONLY folks who "make" money work at the mints and at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.Everyone else must "earn" money.
Earning money is not a goal. Earning money is the result of achieving goals.
You have to decide what it is you are going to do in exchange for that return on your investment.
What do yo like to do? What excites you? What makes you happy? Once you know what the answers to those Qs, then you determine what will be the way to take what it is you know and like to do
THEN how you can convert that knowledge and talent into something which will allow you to earn that money.
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

Many things are possible. Is it probable? I would answer no. Get yourself a good college education in a high-paying career and you could earn $50,000 per year upon graduation. |

parlaying $2000 into $100000 in two years is the question?
It is "possible" but the odds are stacked against it.
If you are thinking, investing (ie daytrading) you would need to have be a clairvoyant to find a group of companies to be in and out of.
Here is a bit of trivia.
$2000 dollars invested in Microsoft in say 1986 would be worth a substantial amount 23 years later. Much more then $100,000. Based on splits alone.
Share price in Mar 1986 - $2000/25.50 share = 78 shares
2-1 September 1987 156 shares
2-1 April 1990 312 shares
3-2 June 1991 520 Shares
3-2 June 1992 866 Shares
2-1 May 1994 1733 Shares
2-1 Dec 1996 3467 Shares
2-1 Feb 1998 6934 Shares
2-1 Mar 1999 13869 Shares
2-1 Feb 2003 27738 Shares
Based on splits alone you'd have a value of $783,000..
If you played timing right and sold on peaks, and bought back in, your portfolio could be well into the millions if not tens or hundreds of millions.
Based on what the average person spends on lunch, cigarettes or lottery tickets, $300 a month in a decent growth stock mutual fund will ALWAYS tune into several million from a person's early 20s by retirement. |

Of course. With careful planning and strong willpower to only spend on the essentials, you can. Try investing in stocks, or a business venture of some kind. |
