Hi Strawberry Hill
Investing in the market can be a daunting process, but it is certainly still a very lucrative business as long as you apply the correct procedures. There are many great training programs that can get you up and running and making money in a relatively short period of time. Share Trade Secrets has done a lot of researching of different training products and have compiled a list of the best of the best. Have a look at www.sharetradesecrets.com. All products recommended come with a 100% money back guarantee, so they are really worthwhile considering. I wish you all the very best in your trading online.
Kind regards

Definitely do NOT start throwing any money into the markets until you at least learn the basics.

A lot of new investors will start at vanguard.com. They have a very good reputation in the financial world and funds are definitely the way to go for a beginner as opposed to "individual" stocks.

There are plenty of FREE websites that can help a beginner proceed in the right direction.

Good for you. It is important to invest so that you will have a secure financial future.

The first question to ask yourself is do you want to do your own investing or have someone else do it for you?

If you choose to do your own you must focus on learning all you can so that you can be successful. Once you have gained the knowledge try papertrading for a while. This is where you practice investing on paper before you actually use your own money.

If you wish to let others do it for you I would suggest a no-load mutual fund that invests in a broad index like the Russel 2000. For most folks this is the way to go.

If you get any emails about some great stocks, ignore them. They are scams.

It's no secret that online stock investing is a very competitive field and the truth is that the stock market doesn't care if you are an experienced or a beginner trader.

The bottom line is, that the rules and the stock market opportunities are the same for every one, so either you are going to make money when you pick a stock and make the trade, or you are going to lose some of it in favor of the more seasoned ones.

As an online stock trader your homework is all about studying and testing different market strategies that can help you take advantage of stocks and at the same time protect your investments.

Just always keep in mind that a good strategy is simple and practical. Complicated stock systems will always make you slow in your decision making process or confuse you from the start.

Also, don't think that just because a trading system or stock market program promises that you can come up with 8 winning trades for every 10 that you place you will end up making money. To become a profitable day trader your winning trades have to overcome your loser ones in terms of dollars and cents.

It's better to study a strategy that guides you step by step on concrete ways to make money by picking certain stocks.

Fortunately some sites on the web can show you how to take advantage of stocks in a practical way every week by minimizing risks. One of those sites is http://www.StressFreeTraders.com

All in all, stock market trading is all about picking the best stock opportunities and following your buy and sell signals with ease and simplicity. Once you learn to master your trading decisions, you can aspire to produce consistent profitable results.

As the mutual funds are designed by investment companies to buy shares in different stocks and other securities, the mutual fund investor along with their ownership of shares of the mutual fund, have a restricted claim to ownership on few of the securities held by the mutual fund. Besides mutual funds provide the dual advantages of diversification and professional money management services to manage the money invested in the fund.
